Your article is a great summary of why we NEED degrowth more than anything. It's not a matter of small individual choices at all. It's restructuring societies to be supportive of land, water, and life, so people aren't forced to choose between destroying Nature and living in misery. If people need to live 50 miles from where they work, that's a system problem, not an individual choice. People believing they need and deserve to live in a free standing house in a suburb far from their work place is systemic and individual choice. Degrowth is revolutionary, but it's not impossible. We have to refocus from individual wealth to giving back to the world that gives us life.
