Where do you get your information? You're right that China is militarizing. What choice do they have with the US building bases all around them and openly saying there will be war? Russia is doing terrible things in Ukraine, but they have sued for peace and offered to negotiate repeatedly since before the war started. The US and NATO wouldn't allow a peace deal to be signed on at least two occasions, in Instanbul and Belarus, and they warn Zelensky against negotiation now. They're fighting to the last Ukrainian. I don't believe any government, but between the USG and China, I'll believe China. You should too.
