This is terrific. I had no idea of the scale of needed infrastructure maintenance and never thought of the Ponzi scheme description. A lot of things get called Ponzi schemes, but suburbanization seems as close to a classic Ponzi as you can find. If people want to survive this collapse, they will stop commuting and devote all available resources to restoring Nature, the original degraded infrastructure.
