This is so true. Because of our technology, if humans die off, we will take everybody bigger than a bacterium with us. And as Robin Wall Kimmerer explains in Braiding Sweetgrass, humans have the unique abilities to heal the planet, IF we can drop the capitalist, materialist, militarist mindset that has taken us overi n the last century.

I've been writing a lot about this lately. If we focus healing Earth as the central basis of our science, politics, and culture, we could get out of climate crisis and create a more beautiful world. It doesn't look like that will happen, but we have to try. There are a lot of brilliant minds and loving hearts out there.
