The facts totally disagree with you Tessa. This is not a religious War. It is about land and Power. There were no serious peace negotiations going on and there never have been. Israel always intended to take all the land and that's still what they're doing but somehow it becomes the Palestinians fault. I agree with you that Hamas damaged its public relations standing with this killing of teenagers. That was completely wrong. But Hamas and Palestinians generally have been characterized as terrorists and violent Islamic extremists right from the beginning. They had no PR standing in the western world. I have friends in Gaza who are 35 years old and have never left the Gaza Strip because they can't. They have relatives in Jerusalem whom they have never seen. That's why Palestinian support the Hamas attack. They are blockaded they have no jobs they cannot move freely. They have no money and no way to make any. They are desperate. That is what you are seeing and calling it religious hatred.
