Thanks for sharing your journey, Anna. Yesterday at the Bioneers conference I heard Clayton Thomas-Muller, a First Nations activist talk about how his anger motivated him to do good work but tore his life apart. He is trying to change his focus from anger to love and his activism is still strong. He wrote a book about it called Life in the City of Dirty Water.

Personally, I always feel pulled toward anger and grief. Now, I think both are totally valid and inevitable, but they're not very effective in the world. You mentioned Robin Wall Kimmerer, and I look at how much more power she has achieved by dealing with those emotions, although she obviously feels them.
