Steve QJ this is fantastic! I took a training given by a DiAngelo trained white leader, and it was all the kind of white guilt promotion you highlight. The trainer made her living doing anti-racist trainings for corporations. I asked her at one point how the workers in those companies reacted. She said, 'Not very well. Most of them try to avoid coming or find some excuse to leave as soon as they can.' I said out loud that I wasn't surprised, that you can't motivate people by making them feel responsible for a racist system. Her assistant attacked me for that and said such attitudes were the reason racism is such a big problem. She never seemed to question why her approach wasn't working, but why should she? She was still getting paid. BTW, LOVED "the Vanilla Ice of anti-racism."
