Jessica, your passion is wonderful, but your understanding of American democracy is childish. Democrats didn't blow their 2008 dominance by trying to cooperate with Republicans. They DIDN'T WANT to get anything done, and Republicans were their excuse. The system is a charade. Voting can probably make some small differences, maybe, but the kind of necessary change you're calling for will never come from Democrats or Republicans.
