In my experience, evolutionary psychology can be used to confirm anything you want to confirm. They will say that evolutionary science proves how people behave universally when there are dozens of cultures and groups around the world that don't behave that way now. It's like religion in that way; it decides how things should be and if they don't actually work out that way it's because there's something wrong with the people.
