I never liked her since I found out that people donated washing machines to her hospital, and she wouldn't let the nuns use them, because they would learn humility washing sheets and blankets by hand. But these were patients with terrible infectious diseases, which a washing machine would have stopped from spreading. She didn't love poor people because they were people; she loved their poverty. Good article.
