Exactly! I'm reading a great book called They Told Me To Come Alone by the young Moroccan journalist Souad Mekhennet. She has spent years researching and interviewing jihadists from ISIS and al-Qaeda. Every chapter is filled with vivid examples of the injustices against which these people rebel, as well as their own destructive, useless actions. But somehow she never seems to see that Empire itself is the problem. She thinks we should just be doing it better.
